buffalo coins

I was looking at buying a few tubes of the new buf:favorites21:falo silver 1 oz coins.

Do you think these will sell as good as the silver eagle ?

If you are talking about the generic buffalo silver rounds on APMEX I think they will sell as well an any generic silver round. I don't think they will bring the same premium as a silver eagle.

No they wont....the fact that they are selling for a couple of bucks less on the retail end should tell anyone all they need to know. To me, though, it's silver and it's available at a good price. On top of that, they are nice looking rounds.

Agree with the above, they look nice and are silver. :)

I have about 5 of them just because I like to have variety.

I have bought 7 tubes in all, during the Christmas special and the current IRS deal. I think they are excellent rounds, but will never match the resale of the SAE's. Still, with a premium of only $1.49 over Spot price, these are an excellent buy right now, and IMHO, are a great way to accumulate 1 oz. silver bullion. I will always lean toward the SAE's as my primary 1 oz. silver bullion, but I like these as well, especially because of the relatively low premium.

Confusing private refinery/mint produced bullion rounds ("coin form": round) and bars with legitimate government struck legal tender coins, can be a costly mistake.

Government's don't produce bar and round forms of bullion, and privately owned mints don't produce legal tender bullion or other coins.

I look at it this way....spot is about $10.35 right now so you buy Buffalo rounds at $11.84/each ($1.49 over spot). If the dollar gets massively devalued like some here think it will, $11.84 will look like a bargain. It's stamped with the purity, and you can direct people to the APMEX page for these (or print off the page for your records to show people where you bought them from when it comes time to sell). Hard to go wrong with these.
